The impressive circular brooch is ornamented to the centre with an exceptional collet set Essex crystal panel, displaying a bird preparing for flight from a branch*.

The reverse of the setting is fitted with a push fit glass panel, which allows a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed.

This Victorian bird brooch secures to the reverse with a conventional hinged pin and clasp.

This antique Essex crystal brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold.

This exceptional antique Victorian brooch is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and securing with a push catch.

The interior of the cover bears the retailer’s mark ‘J. W. Benson, Ludgate Hill, London’.
